I hope you had a wonderful day. Wednesday, January 9^th is a Day 3 (gym – be ready to board bus at 9:00 AM dressed in gym clothes with gym shoes).

Persuasive speeches - we will be beginning our persuasive speech writing during our first full week back after Christmas. We will have roughly four weeks to write and memorize our speeches. The first week will be spent completing a guided writing persuasive speech. The weeks to follow will consist of editing, revising and memorizing. Students are required to return to school with their persuasive speech topic.

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful night. Thank you so much for coming out last night to support the Grade 5 dance troop. They worked so hard on perfecting that dance and they nailed. it. Another proud teacher moment!! Please ensure that all library books that have not yet been returned are returned tomorrow.

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful night. Tomorrow is a Day 1 (gym – please be ready to board the bus at 9:00 AM with your gym shoes - gym clothes are not needed as it is casual day/PJ day). Please note that all students will need to arrive to the school this evening no later than 6:30 PM dressed in full costume and that all students will need to be picked up from the school after the entire concert has ended. We will be holding a dance party for the students to enjoy.

What is Action?

Many people think that Action is easy to define. It is something you do, right? But Action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world?

If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop.

Taking action can happen at any age. It’s all about how we as parents, educators, and the community, support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents!
