Cookie order forms have now been extended until Monday May 25!!aThere are many great prizes for students who raise the most money such as gift cards. The overall winner gets a $100 bill!! So get out there and sell some cookie dough!!

If you are looking to order specific uniform items well now is the time. Some of the money raised from uniform sales will go towards efforts to help the victims of the Nepal earthquake. Students were given an order form. Please see photo below!

Due to the gym lockers being used for storage, we have decided that the students will be allowed to wear their gym uniforms on Mondays and Wednesdays only.

The Spelling Bee lists have been sent home. Please ensure your child begins practicing and that the list stays in their agendas. There is one set of words for the grade 3’s and one set for the grade 4’s. Our in class contest will take place on Tuesday May 26, with Ms. Soroka’s class. We will be choosing our top 5 from each grade (both grade 3 classes combined) the last week of May. The top 5 from each grade will participate in the St. Jude’s Academy annual Spelling Bee on Friday June 5, beginning at 9:00 am. Please note that there will be different words on June 5. The list sent home is just to help them practice.

A few important reminders/important dates

Just a reminder that students are now able to wear their summer uniform!

Please be sure to send your child with baseball hats or sun hats and sunscreen! Also please be sure to send in water bottles…with all the running around they do they get very hot and thirsty!

We are once again out of Kleenex and Lysol Wipes. If you could please bring some in that would be great!

Math

Thank you for returning the math tests. Today the grade 4’s looked at multiplying 3 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers. The grade 3’s looked at identifying patterns with increase by 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. We are quickly running out of time so there is a good chance our unit test for this unit will be FRIDAY MAY 29.

Language

Today we practiced for the spelling bee and had some quiet reading time and learned about how to use quotations!

U.O.I.

Today we continued to look at limerick poems and colour poems. We also had time to work on our dance and skit for Art’s Night.
