I cannot believe this is my final post for the 2016/2017 school year. Where has the time gone? What an amazing year it has been. Each one of my kiddos has grown so much since September and I am very excited, yet sad at the same time, to send them off the Grade 5. With that begin said, I have not doubt the each of them will continue to succeed and impress their teacher, just as they have done for me. Thank you for all of your support over the past year. I wish you all the best!

Friday – house colour day

Today we started off our day with music and French. Then we headed outside for gym. After recess and lunch, we finished up our Father’s Day crafts and worked on some language worksheets. To end the day we had a close vote – movie or outside. Outside won by just a few! Just a reminder tomorrow is a full day of school! Students do not need to bring agendas tomorrow!!

Grade 5, here I come. BEWARE!!

Our day started with our Promotion Ceremony. Once we returned to class we began to do some classroom organization/clean up and I handed back some more items. After lunch and recess, we returned to class and began to do some classroom organization/clean up and I handed back some more items. We then continued working on some Father’s Day crafts. We also started a work booklet, which contained some language and math activities.

Grade 6 Graduation from PYP!

Thank you to all the families who were able to join us today for our Promotion Ceremony. I cannot believe I am sending my littles off to Grade 5!! It feels like just yesterday we started this journey!

I hope everyone had a lovely night! All notebooks were sent home today! Promotion ceremony is tomorrow at 9:00 AM! We will begin with the Grade 6 Graduation and then it will be the Grade 5’s, Grade 4’s, and finally the Grade 3’s.

A note from the PYP teachers - We at SJA have had a wonderful year with your children, but it is time to send them off to the next grade. Our PYP promotion and graduation ceremonies are taking place next week. Students are asked to dress smart casual on these days. The ceremonies will take place over two days. The JK to Grade 2 promotion ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 13^th. The Grade 3 to 5 promotion ceremony and Grade 6 graduation will take place on Wednesday, June 14^th. Both ceremonies begin at 9 am and should be completed by 10:30 am. Parents and families are invited to attend. We look forward to seeing you then.

Today we started the day off by supporting our JK- Grade 2 friends during their promotion ceremony. Then we headed to French and upon our return to the classroom, we added the final touches to our IB binders for the year! We then began to fill in yearbooks…what fun!

HOMEWORK: Those of you who have not yet brought in a picture of you and your father, please do so for tomorrow. A kind reminder it must be an actual picture!
