Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful night! All busing forms for next Friday’s Graduation/Promotion day are due Monday. June hot lunch payments are due today. UOI summatives are due Monday. We will begin presentations in the afternoon.

As we count down the final days of the school year, there are a few more announcements to make. Next Tuesday will be the last day to wear school uniforms, as Wednesday will be our House Colour Spirit Day, where we will play one final house game and see which house is awarded The House Cup…GO KAPPA GO!!! Wednesday is also the Year-End Play Day. Thursday we are asking students to come dressed up in their soccer jersey or wear a t-shirt that represents a country, as the World Cup of Soccer is beginning. Friday is our Promotion/Graduation ceremony. We are asking that students wear something nice, as they will be receiving their certificates.

St. Jude’s FC – A new and exciting soccer program has arrived at SJA. St. Jude’s FC is the official soccer academy affiliated with SJA, which is currently taking applicants for its inaugural season. St. Jude's FC will be playing against the best REP teams around the area. Do not miss the opportunity to sign your child up to not only play against the best, but be coached by the best as well.  Please see flyer sent home for further information. Summer Camp – Ms. Smith is now accepting registrations for summer camp. Registration forms have been sent home. Please see flyer below for more information or contact Ms. Smith at bsmith@stjudesacademy.com.

Year-End Play Day - Our Parent Guild is hosting a Year-End Play Day on Wednesday, June 13 from 11-3. There will be bouncy castles, face painting, games, and a delicious BBQ!

MATH:

Today we began a cumulative review of everything we covered this year! We also went a viewed the Grade 5’s coding project. Something very exciting to look forward to next year!

Homework:

-Sign and return math test

LANGUAGE:

Today we began our final spelling lesson of the year. We also enjoyed some reading time outside.

Homework:

-Read 40 minutes

-Finish spelling

UNIT OF INQUIRY:

Today was continued work on our summative. For our summative, students will be expected to create a poetry book of three poems and then choose between a fine art project, skit, or dance. Students will present their poems and their other project choice on Monday, June 11.
