Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful night! Monday is a Day 2 (music and tech). No homework has been assigned this weekend, so agendas have been left at school. Next week, we have another day switch. Tuesday will be a Day 4 and Wednesday will be a Day 3. More great action - A sharing a book on Greece and V sharing a book about Sappho.



Don't forget about Polar Expressions Publishing! The short story deadline is today, Friday, November 23rd, 2018.

Oakwood Academy is holding a Poinsettia fundraiser for the holiday season, to raise money for some new sensory items. The Poinsettias are red, pink or white and make a wonderful holiday gift, and are a nice way to spread holiday cheer. Order forms were sent home today. The class that sells the most Poinsettias will win a $50 gift card!! Order between November 1st and November 30th by cash only.

Hot lunch program: The website is up and running for December hot lunch. The site will close on Friday, November 30 at 3:00 and will not be able to re-open. **Please remember to correctly order under the right grade and teacher. **

Unit of Inquiry

Today we continued working on our summative. For our ancient civilization summative, students will be required to re-create an ancient artefact from one of the three civilization we learned about. An information package and rubric was sent home. We will begin our in-class summative on Monday, November 19th and the due date will be Thursday, November 29th. A kind reminder that all work is to be completed during class time only, unless other wise stated.

Today wrote our spelling test for lesson #11.  I will have them ready to be sent home on Monday. We also began to fill in our Student-Led packages and put together our IB portfolio binders.
