Oakwood is holding their second Silent Dance on Wednesday, April 30th. A silent dance is a dance in which students are given individual headphones where they can listen to various types of music while controlling the volume. It is an excellent way to foster inclusion. It provides a sensory friendly environment for all students. The cost to attend the silent dance is $20 and includes a slice of pizza. All money raised will go towards new resources for our friends at Oakwood to support their developmental, social and emotional growth. Forms were sent home today and are due back by Tuesday, April 23rd.

us about the species they chose. It may be an audio or video podcast. The podcast is due on Friday, April
26th. **Please be sure to send devices to school each day for this summative.**

Our
final unit of the year will be about coding. All students will be required
to have a working laptop, not device, for this unit. They will be expected
to bring it to school each and every day. Students will also be expected
have their own email account. A Gmail account is preferred, as we can easily
share our projects. Our coding unit begin on Monday, April 29th.

EEEKKK!! They turned out so good!
Thank you to Munira who wrote this poem!
You keep on saluting for no more polluting, though cows keep on tooting and you are still shooting. Those poor birds are dying and icebergs are frying and I’m really not lying when I
say you're not even trying. So I am not buying your act of defying, cause lives are at stake.
Just give me a brake, for all of our sakes ! Oh look at that lake (or what used to be a lake).
But global warming took place, and now we have to face that dry empty space. It’s nothing but land, nothing but sand, so hot and so tanned. It needs to be fanned, so let’s stand hand in hand with our feet in the sand and safe guard this land. For all that it’s worth please help save this earth!
