Hello everyone!
I hope
you had a great day! Tomorrow is a Day 4, Wacky Wednesday, the last day to
order Rafiki bracelets and our final ski/snowboard trip to Glen Eden. Students
are asked to arrive at the school for 6:45 AM as we will be leaving at 7:00 AM and returning for dismissal. All
rentals are included, however students are more than welcome to bring their
own. Students are welcome to bring money to purchase food and drink items or
bring a lunch from home. Students must ensure they are dressed in appropriate
ski gear; warm socks, long johns with comfy clothes, snow pants, warm mitts, a
face protector (if possible) and a ski jacket. All students will have to pass
each level before they are granted permission to ski on the big hill, no matter
what their experience. Jump Rope for Heart donation packages have
been sent home. We will be collecting donations for this event from now until Friday,
March 6. You can collect money or make a donation online. Hot lunch payments
are due this Friday, March 6. After
care payments are due by Sunday, March
15. Please take some time to check our lost and found, which is over
flowing. Anything that is not collected will be donated over March Break to the
Diabetes Association. Please check at home for house points and return to me if
any are found! ** For our coding unit, which begins in May, students will need to have a working laptop and email address, as they will be required to send their work to me via email. Gmail accounts were most popular last year!**

Inquiry into Mathematics
Today we worked on our
summative and went over the math review. Please note the test did not go as
well as I had hoped. There were some very careless errors! I hope to send them
home tomorrow after skiing.
Our first unit after
March Break will be Transformational
Geometry. Our last two units will be Fractions
and Probability.

French – Mme. Sarah
This week the Grade 5s focused on the
future tense of regular and irregular verbs. They conjugated verbs and also
constructed sentences using the future tense. They identified the infinitive of
the verbs and the auxiliary of avoir.
The
Grade 5s will be attending a French theatrical presentation ‘Les Insectes Sur Scene’ on Tuesday, March
