Good Afternoon,

What a fabulous day we had at Medieval Times. That was my first experience and it wont be my last! The students had a blast and hopefully learnt a thing or two!!! Here are just a few of the pictures I took!


Ava and Niah received roses from the Blue Knight and Husmeen was the Blue Knights Queen!! A great time had by all!!

Good afternoon!

 I hope you all had a wonderful day! I am very much looking forward to our trip to Medieval Times tomorrow. Please remember to be in full uniform and be her no later then 8:45 to listen to announcements and then hop on the bus!

Thursday March 5 is our trip to Medieval Times. We will leave promptly at 9:00 and return by 3:00. Every student will need to be in full uniform. No Super Heroes and Princess outfits please!

Friday March 6 is St. Patrick’s Day.

Bake Sale runs March 4 & 5.

Friday March 6th April lunch forms are due!

March 9 – March 20 – No School for March Break!

MATH

Today our topic in math was money. We reviewed what the coins and bills were. Then we looked at different way to come up with a certain amount using different bills and coins. This is another topic that you can do at home with your children.

LANGUAGE

Today we read a few chapters from R.L. Stine’s ‘Stay Out of the Basement’ and then they wrote a summary of what has happened so far, including characters, setting, and plot. They also wrote a prediction about what they think is going to happen.

U.O.I.

Today we played a house game so we were unable to do U.O.I!

Friday March 6 is St. Patrick’s Day.

MATH

Today we missed our math period due to a great game of Dodge ball! Thank you Kappa teachers for putting together such a great game!

LANGUAGE

Today we worked on spelling lesson 16. We wrote the words in our agenda and then did the corresponding activities.

U.O.I.

Since it is the beginning of the month we changed our seats. This gives everyone a change of scenery and a chance to sit beside someone different!!  We then watched a video on castles.

Good afternoon!

 I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We were finally able to get outside today…hooray for warmer weather!!

Tuesday March 3 is Jersey Day. It is also BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). We will be using it to look at Castles.

Wednesday March 4 is House Colour Day.

MATH

Today we explored to the topic of elapsed time. Elapsed time is how long in between two different times. For example we began writing at 9:20 and it is now 10:10. 50 minutes have passed. Many students are struggling with this so please if there is any opportunity to do this at home please take advantage. The homework tonight is on elapsed time and I will also be sending home some sheets tomorrow!

LANGUAGE

Today Maples came for a visit and the speech competition. We were lucky enough to have Melia make it to the finals against The Maples. Great job Melia…we are all so proud of you!

U.O.I.

Today we had a catch up period working on our Medieval Times Dictionary. Then we finished up our research on housing!
