Good afternoon,

I hope everyone had a great night!

Just a reminder to send your child with proper outdoor gear…coats, boots, hats, mitts, and snow pants.

IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:

The bake sale has now been extended until Friday.

We have a few March Break spots still available, so please contact Mrs. Smith to register at bsmith@stjudesacademy.com

March Break homework was sent home today. They do not need to bring their agendas to school tomorrow or Friday. The grade 4’s will need to complete a math booklet, complete a research writing assignment on First Nations Communities (found in their UOI duo tang on the bottom of the First Nations Reading) , read for at least 20 minutes a day, as well as create a photo journal of their March Break. It must contain at least 10 pictures with descriptions. The can create a book for their journal out of anything they would like.

Reading logs due every Friday. They will not be due this Friday!!

Next week (Feb 29-Mar 4) is spirit week. Everyday we will have a different themed day. We will also play house games throughout the week!

FRIDAY: St. Patrick’s Day Spirit

MYP Shakespeare Play ‘The Merchant of Manhattan’ has been postponed until Wednesday, March 23 at 7:00 PM.



The Inter-School Speech Competition between SJA and The Maples will now take place on Wednesday, March 23.

Mme. Stella will be taking the grade 3’s and 4’s to a French play. The play will be taking place on Friday, April 1. Forms have been sent home and are due by Monday, March 21 (the first day back after March Break).

What a day we had. Although our view wasn’t the best due to snow, it was still neat to the ‘big city’ from up above! The students enjoyed the playground at lunch and had a nice walk to Union Staion. Thank you to Ms. B, Mrs. Jensen, and Alpa for volunteering on this trip! We came back just in time for French and a house game!
