MATH
We did a quick lesson on creating
bar graphs for the Grade 4’s and pictographs for the Grade 3’s. This is to
assist with their homework tonight. We then competed a 100th day of
school math worksheet. Some of the questions they had to answer were how many
ways can you make $100 using bill and how many ways can you make $1.00 using
coins. They also had to write a word problem with an answer of 100.
LANGUAGE
Today was our second trial run at
speeches. We also did some language activities relating to 100th day
of school. They had to write about what they would be like at 100 years old.
Parents please help your children in anyway possible. I am
looking for hook (something to grab the audiences attention), an introduction
telling us their topic, paragraphs talking about different things about their
topic (for example if they are talking about hockey some paragraphs they may
want to talk about are rules, equipment, different leagues, etc). I then would
like a closing statement tying everything in.
The spelling test will take place Thursday this week due to the
holiday on Friday.
U.O.I.
We used this period to do an art
activity. The had to use the number 100 and make a picture. For example, draw a
face and use the 100 to make glasses.
100th Day of School Activities!!
Have a great night!
Mrs. Hocevar :)
