MATH
Today we explored equivalent fractions. We learned that 1 whole = 2 one halves (1/2) & ½ = 2 one quarters (1/4). Therefore ½ and 2/4 are equivalent fractions: they are equal!

LANUGAGE
Today we began our good copies. I would recommend that students begin practicing their speeches at home. Please keep in mind that it has to be between 3-5 minutes. Please remember that we are working on the speeches in class. Please do not complete your speech at home.

Students are expected to read for at least 20 minutes everyday. They can record it in their reading log. Reading logs will be checked every Friday.

UOI
Today the students filled in a chart with the headings what I think I know and what I would like to know.  We also created a Venn diagram outlined the differences and similarities of Urban and Rural communities.

Have a great night!
