MATH
Today was our unit
math test. It consisted of using the first initial of their name and creating a
rotation, translation, and reflection with it. They turned out wonderful!
LANGUAGE
Today we worked on
spelling lesson #22 activities. We also read chapter 11 of ‘Stuart Little.’
UOI
Today we continued working on our maps. They have begun colouring and
things are taking shape. For this summative, students will be working in groups
to create a map of an urban and rural community. We will be looking for things
such as roads, hospitals, stores, bank, a dump (located outside of the city),
houses, highways, and as we move out to the country we should see more green
land, houses spread apart, farms, etc. This summative will be due Wednesday,
March 2, as our CN Tower trip is on Thursday and then Friday is the last
day of school before March Break. I have attached a picture of the rubric and
an example of what I am looking for.
Have a wonderful night!
