MATH
Today we looked at our first lesson on decimals…exploring tenths. The tenths spot is the first spot after the decimal. For example 3/10 = 0.3, 8/10 = 0.8, 2 2/10 = 2.2, & 3 7/10 = 3.7. Our unit math test will take place on Monday, February 22.

LANGUAGE
Today we had some time to do lesson 19 spelling activities. We also began rehearsing for our speeches. We will be reading and re-reading and re-reading our speeches over the next days! Some of the students are coming in below the 3 minute mark. Please assist your child at home with their timing. Things may need to be added or it could be a simple thing as the pace at which they are reading at.

Students are expected to read for at least 20 minutes everyday. They can record it in their reading log. Reading logs will be checked every Friday.

UOI
Today we read and completed some activities on why people need communities and completed a worksheet on needs and wants.

Have a great night!
