Good afternoon everyone!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
The cold weather is definitely
here to stay. Please ensure you are sending proper outdoor clothing as we are outside
for close to a hour/day. Students will not be kept in during recess because
they are not dressed properly.
Parent/teacher interview forms were sent home and emailed out today. Please fill them out as soon
as possible and return to me…due date Wednesday, November 30!
Christmas break PD day information was sent home via email. Camps are happening on Friday,
December 23, Monday, January 9, and Tuesday, January 10. The PD day runs
from 7:30-5 and costs $20, however does not include lunch. Students must bring
in their own lunch and snack. Registration is limited to the first 36 children.

LANGUAGE:
Today we worked on lesson 12 in our Spelling Workout book. It is a
review of lessons #7-12.
Homework - Remember to
read for 30 minutes each night!
-Finish spelling
MATH:
Today we estimated and measured area. Remember that area is the inside
of an object. We can count the squares to find area or use multiplication.
It is looking as though our unit math test will take place on Monday,
December 5. A review will be sent home that weekend.

Unit of Inquiry:
Today we began our UOI summative. This summative will be due Friday,
December 2! Since we only have a week, students are expected to draw and write
about a light and sound object to help them get back to shore, as they are
stranded in the middle of a lake. They must create and draw one hearing aid and
one sight aid to help them get back to shore. ALL WORK IS TO BE COMPLETED AT
SCHOOL.
Homework – Summative due Friday, December 2
I have been out of the classroom the past couple of days working on the Self Study with Mrs. Haag. A big thank you to Ms. M who has filled in for me. I look forward to being back with my kids!
