MATH
Today we used patterns to multiply
a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number. We began by completing a multiplication
chart and then discussing the patterns we saw with our table groups. Then we
used multiples of 10 to solve division problems. For example 6 x 79…79 is 1
less than 80, so 6 x 79 is 6 less than 6 x 80 = 480 so I will – 6 (480 – 6 =
474) therefore 6 x 79 = 474!

Today we continued with our
magazine article!
UOI
Today we continued to review
magazine articles. Students also began writing their own magazine article. This
is in preparation for our final OWA in which students have to write a magazine
article on the perfect classroom. The storybook
summative will be do Monday, May 2.
We will begin working on it next week and will have ample time to complete
most, if not all of it in class. A rubric will be sent home sometime next week!
Have a great night!
