MATH
Today we looked at dividing with remainders. We began by playing a card game where each student gets 3 cards. They had to create a division sentence (9/3=3) using the 3 cards. If they had remainders or numbers left over, they earned those points. Then we worked out of the textbook. A few reminders for division…any # divided by itself = 1 (5/5=1). Any # divided by 0 = 0 and any # divided by 1 = the # (5/1=5). Skip counting is a great strategy for students to use solving division questions!

LANGUAGE
Today we began working on our UOI summative storybook. I have put together a package for the students to work through to help them.

UOI
Today we continued writing our autobiography. The storybook summative will be due Monday, May 2. We will begin working on it next week and will have ample time to complete most, if not all of it in class. A rubric was sent home last night for you to review.

I will not be at the school tomorrow as I am touring St. John’s Kilmarnock. Ms. Rhemtual will be here to cover. It will be a busy day, but I know the grade 4’s will be on their best behavior and help in any form necessary! I will update the blog and homework tomorrow. Have a wonderful night and weekend! I will see you all Monday.
