I hope
you all had a wonderful night! It has been a busy week full of quizzes, tests,
and pre-assessments. The grade 4’s did a great job!! Well done!
Please remember to sign
your child’s agenda every night.
Unfortunately, we did not
win the pizza party lunch for having the most uniform pieces labeled.
Congratulations to Ms. Schwarz’s grade 4 for winning!
We have had our first
recess and lunch extended to 1 hour…30 minutes for recess and 30 for lunch. Our
second recess and lunch will remain 40 minutes.
***The uniform store will
be closed from September 28 until October 14, 2016. All orders must be placed
by tomorrow, Friday, September 23, via email. Alpa can be reached at
alpa@multiformcanada.com. This is especially important for the grade 4’s as we
swing into winter uniforms before the uniform store is open again.***

Blossom Yoga (www.BlossomYogaKids.com) with Ummul
Patrawala is back at SJA, as part of our after school activities. First session
starts on Wednesday Oct 5th. Come ready to have fun, move, stretch, and
relax while exploring fun yoga games, creative breathing exercises, yoga art
and yoga songs. Here is a short video highlighting the fun and relaxing yoga
classes that SJA kids have experienced in the past with Mrs. Patrawala. Stay
Calm and Breathe On!
Terry Fox pledge forms have been sent home. Every little bit helps. All
forms and money are due back by Thursday,
September 29.
October lunch forms have been sent home. Please remember to completely
fill out both sides of the form, including the totals. We have some new items
so be sure to check it out! All forms and money are due back by Friday, September 30 with no exceptions!
LANGUAGE:
Today we had our lesson 2 spelling test.
UOI:
Today we broke off into groups to complete a chart, which outlines the
major characteristics of each region in Canada. Groups will present their
findings on Monday.
MATH:
Today we had our second math pre-assessment. We will begin our new unit
on Monday!
