school activity forms and money has been extended until tomorrow, Wednesday,
September 28.
Our Terry Fox run will be

Calm and Breathe On!
Terry Fox pledge forms have been sent home. Every little bit helps. All

October lunch forms have been sent home. Please remember to completely
fill out both sides of the form, including the totals. We have some new items

LANGUAGE:
Today we began to learn how to write a report. We used our Writing 4
books to help us. This is in preparation for our OWA (Ontario Writing
Assessment) post-assessment. Students are to bring in research tomorrow on the
animal that they have chosen to write about in their Writing 4 books
UOI:
Today we began to look at Natural Resources. We watched a video and
using that video we came up with a definition and some examples. We also looked
at a video that showed some of Canada’s Natural Resources.
MATH:
Today we looked at rounding numbers to the nearest 1000, 100 and 10. The
rule to remember for rounding is 1, 2, 3, 4 we round down to the ground (round
down) and 5, 6, 7 8, 9 up we climb (round up). For example:
1)Round to
the nearest 1000
2499 = 2000 & 2765 = 3000
2) Round to the nearest 100
99 = 100 & 521 = 500
3) Round to the nearest 10
33 = 30 & 39 = 40
Have a great night!
