I hope everyone had a great night!

The cold weather is definitely here to stay. Please ensure you are sending proper outdoor clothing as we are outside for close to a hour/day. Students will not be kept in during recess because they are not dressed properly.

Important information and reminders:

Tomorrow is our Light Scientists in the School workshop. We are so excited!

Parent comments on back page of report cards due by Friday December 2.

Scholastic orders are due by Friday, December 2.

Christmas break PD day information was sent home via email. Camps are happening on Friday, December 23, Monday, January 9, and Tuesday, January 10. The PD day runs from 7:30-5 and costs $20, however does not include lunch. Students must bring in their own lunch and snack. Registration is limited to the first 36 children.

We are holding a toy and food drive for those less fortunate this holiday season. It will run from now until December 21! There will be a box in our classroom so any donations can be dropped off there. Thank you in advance for support this Christmas season.

Today we had our ArtReach program. Students worked with artists to create a beautiful picture. They are currently drying so they will be sent home tomorrow. Everyone was very patient and they took their time and listened to instructions. Great job grade 4’s!

Today we continued work on our UOI summative.

MATH:

Today we completed show what you know…our final review for the test.

Our math test will take place on Monday, December 5. We will be having a quiz on Friday and then the Monday math test will consist of students having to create rooms in a house and then finding the perimeter and area of certain rooms and furniture. A package will be sent home Friday for you to review. A kind reminder that the test is not to be completed at home…it will be completed in class!
