Good afternoon everyone!
I hope everyone had a great night!
Students are to come dressed in their Christmas Concert
costume tomorrow (green shirt, grey uniform skirt/pants, a winter hat, and
scarf) as it is show time! Students will need to be back at the school for 6:30
PM tomorrow night in order to get ready. We will be meeting in the classroom!
The wind whips through our
playground, so please ensure your child is dressed properly! Please see our
cold weather policy below!
It is our turn to host the
bake sale this month. I am hoping that the grade 4 families are able to bring
in a NUT FREE baked good to sell at the bake sale tomorrow. All items
can be dropped off at the classroom. Thank you in advance for your time and
effort! It is greatly appreciated.
Important information and reminders:
It is hard to believe, but the
time is here already – re-registration is upon us! Re-registrations
forms were sent home today. The deadline to re-register is February 9.
After that we open up spaces to the public. Do not delay – reserve your spot
today for grade 5!
The Annual Christmas Food
and Toy Drive is now underway at St. Jude's Academy and will run until tomorrow! We
would like to welcome families to send in new (unopened) toys and
non-perishable food items to be donated to local families in need. Food items
will be donated to the Eden Food Bank, and all toys collected will be donated
to the CTV Salvation Army Toy Drive Fund. We are also encouraging families to
bring a non-perishable food item to the Christmas Concert as your 'ticket' to
the show. Thank you in advance for your support.
The Christmas concert will be taking place on Wednesday, December 21. There will be an
afternoon show and an evening show. The afternoon show begins at 12:00 noon and
the evening show begins at 7:00 PM. All students should attend. The theme this
year is ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas!’ We have begun practicing with Mr.
Oliver and the other grade 4 class. We are singing ‘You’re a Mean One, Mr.
Grinch’ and playing ‘Jingle Bells’ on the recorder. Just a reminder that our
costumes will be the grey school uniform pants/skirts, a plain green shirt (if
possible!!), a scarf, and a winter hat (Christmas themed or not). SJA Parent
Guild will also be auctioning off the baskets that each classroom put together
and there will be light refreshments. It is bound to be a wonderful night!!
