Good afternoon everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was busy with preparation for Christmas and Christmas events.

Important information and reminders:

Cookie pickup will happen on Thursday, December 8 from 3:40-8 PM in the SJA cafeteria!

After school activity forms are due by Friday, December 9.

Christmas break PD day information was sent home via email. Camps are happening on Friday, December 23, Monday, January 9, and Tuesday, January 10. The PD day runs from 7:30-5 and costs $20, however does not include lunch. Students must bring in their own lunch and snack. Registration is limited to the first 36 children.



We are holding a toy and food drive for those less fortunate this holiday season. It will run from now until December 21! There will be a box in our classroom so any donations can be dropped off there. Thank you in advance for support this Christmas season.



LANGUAGE:

Today we had our term 2 OWA pre-assessment. For this OWA students are to complete a retell. A retell is the similar to a summary but includes the words first, second, next, after that, etc. We will do examples in class for preparation for our post-assessment.

Homework - Remember to read for 30 minutes each night!

MATH:

Today we had our unit test, which included created rooms with furniture and then finding out the perimeter and area of certain rooms and certain pieces of furniture. Tomorrow we begin Data Management!

Unit of Inquiry:

Today we began Religion Rules (Who we are)! We began with a think pair share to generate our thoughts about religion.

-sign and return Light and Sound UOI summative
