Today we began to work out of
our Writing 4 books in preparation for our OWA assessment. We practiced by
writing a news report. We began by reviewing what a magazine article should include (A title, headings if needed, the 5 Ws, pictures, and quotations) and then we created an example using guided writing!
Homework – Read for at
least 30 minutes
-Sign out/purchase the book ‘Frindle’ by Tuesday, April 18

Today we looked at Lines of Symmetry. Lines of Symmetry are
the imaginary lines where you could fold
the image and have both halves match exactly. We completed pictures of Easter

UOI
Today we split both Grade 4 classes in half and had a debate on the pros
and cons of mining! Each group was allotted 30 minutes to prepare their argument
and then we had 30 minutes to debate. So much fun! Everyone did such a great job at debating their arguments. Ms. Schwarz and I were completely blown away at how well everyone did. Great job, Grade 4's!
Homework – UOI summative due date is Friday, April 28. Information was sent home
this today. Please read, sign and return on Tuesday.
Have a fantastic weekend! I hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend.
We will see you back on Tuesday in your summer uniform!
