MATH:
Today was our math test. We have two more short units
to cover this year. There are only a few lessons in each unit so things will
move rather quickly!
Homework:
-
LANGUAGE:
Today we began spelling lesson #33 on compound words.
A compound word is when two separate words are joined to make one word, such as
knapsack. We also visited our reading buddies.
We also continued to practice our Arts’ Night
performance. The song that we are singing is ‘Parents Just Don’t Understand’ by
Will Smith, which is a rap song. For our costumes/outfits, I am asking for jean
(baggy if possible), t-shirts, skater shoes/jogging shoes, baseball hats (we
will wear them sideways), and big gold chains.
Homework:
-Read
40 minutes
-Finish
spelling lesson #33
We love our reading buddies!
Grooving away!!
UNIT OF INQUIRY:
Today we learned about cinquain poems. A cinquain poem consists of 5
lines with nouns, verbs and adjectives to describe a topic. It also ends with a
synonym about the original topic.
Homework:
-Finish cinquain poem
I hope you have a wonderful night!
