enjoyed your weekend! Now that the cold weather is here, please ensure that
your children come prepared…coats, hats, mitts, boots, and anything else that
will keep them warm.

cafeteria. You can access it through the reception area!
IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:
Some MYP students
have decided to raise money for a child in Africa to go to school. They will be
holding some fundraising events this week. For
$2.00 students can wear casual clothes on Wednesday December 9, Candy Grams

Gingerbread. Order forms will have more information.

There will be two
shows for the Christmas concert this year. They will both take place on Wednesday, December 16. The first show

SJA is excited to announce that Year Ahead Day is happening again this year! All
SJA PYP students will be participating in this exciting event on Thursday,
December 10th. Year Ahead Day is a fun and interactive
day for the students at SJA to spend a day in the class of the grade level
ahead of them (example: SK students spend their day as Grade 1 students, Grade
6 students spend their day as Grade 7 students, etc.). This is a great
way for the students at SJA to get a glimpse into their future life at
SJA! Students can get to know the teachers, see their future classroom,
and take part in activities they will be participating in next year.
After care

January lunch

some for sale during pickup time on Monday, December 7th from 3:30-6 pm by the Oakwood
gym.**
Thank you for your support!
MATH
Today we spent our
lesson learning about related facts. This is a strategy to help us solve
division questions. Here is an example of a related fact – 3x4=12, 4x3=12,
12/3=4, and 12/4=3. There should be 2 multiplication sentences and 2 division
sentences. All of the same numbers are used in each sentence.

Today we did a

UOI
Today we began our
3rd unit…Phenomenal Forces! This is a science unit that should take
us until the end of January! We began by creating a KWL chart (what we know,
what we want to know, and what we learned). We also completed our title pages.
I hope you all
have a great night!
