Good afternoon,

I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! Now that the cold weather is here, please ensure that your children come prepared…coats, hats, mitts, boots, and anything else that will keep them warm.

I still have not heard official word that we won the pizza party but I will let you know as soon as I find out! Gift cards were sent home today! Thank you again for all of your support!

IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:

Parent/Teacher Interviews this Thursday.

Field trip is on Friday.

A Year Ahead Day will take place on Thursday, December 10. This is a chance for all grade 4’s to experience what life is like in grade 5. All grade 4’s will spend the day with Ms. Kominek who is this year’s grade 5 teacher. I will get to have all the grade 3’s and show that how we roll!! Please keep in mind that although Ms. Kominek is the grade 5 teacher this year, it does not mean she will be the grade 5 teacher next year. The same goes for me as well!

January lunch forms are due by Wednesday, December 16 by 3:30 PM!

With the money that was earned during the October movie night, parent guild was able to purchase 2 projectors! Thank you so much to the parent guild and all of those who came to watch the movie!!

MATH

Today we focused on looking at patterns. For example 2 X 6 = 12, 2 X 60 = 120, 2 X 600 = 1200. We use the base number and then add the appropriate number of zeros!!

LANGUAGE

Today we did lesson #11 in our spelling workbooks. Our spelling test will be on Thursday this week as our field trip is on Friday. We also discussed our Christmas concert!

UOI

Today we shared our artifacts…what a great job everyone did. I was very pleased to see the results!! Great job again Grade 4’s. I will post pictures tomorrow!!
