Good
afternoon,
I hope
everyone had a great night!
Just a reminder to dress
according to the ever-changing weather!
We have begun uniform
checks again! These will happen every now and again to ensure that all SJA
students are wearing proper uniform. Uniform
pieces must be bought through Apla and Multiform Canada. Uniform violations will be sent home if a student is not
wearing the proper piece of clothing! First violation: a warning to parents.
Second violation: the office will notify a parent and the correct uniform piece
must be brought to the school the same day. Third violation: uniform piece will
be sent home at parent’s expense. Fourth violation: community service hours
will be assigned. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

MATH
Today we continued looking at
perimeter, except today we looked at measuring big items such as a football
field. Remember to find perimeter, we need to add up all of the sides. Please
also remember to include the unit of measurement (km, m cm, etc.).
LANGUAGE
Today we had our in-class Spelling
Bee! Congrats to Rishaan and Mehar for making it through to the finals for the
grade 5 Spelling Bee and to Zara, Shane, Lucas, Tanya, and Shrivatsaa for
making it through to the finals for the grade 4 Spelling Bee! Great job
everyone. I was very pleased with the excellent sportsmanship I saw during and
after our competition. It really warmed my heart!
UOI
Today we looked at the major
components of soil. We also created a flip book to help us remember.
I hope you all have a wonderful
