First Day

Hello Everyone,


What a fantastic first day! The students were extremely helpful in guiding my first day. I am lucky to be their teacher. It is going to be a great 6 months!


In Math, the students created skeletons of shapes as a review of geometry. We discussed the layout of their workbook and reviewed the expectations. We will be beginning Multiplication and Division on Monday January 12.


During Language we discussed what has been covered as far as Charlotte's Web, spelling lists, language work books and cursive books.  We revised our classroom Essential Agreement and had everyone sign it. The students then filled out the WHO AM I questionnaire sheet and then as a class we guessed who it was. Finally the students wrote about their holiday in the writing book.


Our U.O.I period we spent reviewing the different lessons and activities that we covered before the break. We discussed the different parts of Canada's Food Guide. We then completed a word search and/or crossword.


CLASS NOTES

Please remember to send proper indoor shoes with your children. 

We are out of scotch tape. If you could send some in that would be great.

Friday is bring your own device in.

Spelling list 8 will be given out on Monday January 12 with a test being given the following Friday.


Once again it was a fantastic day. If I have not met you already I look forward to doing so.
