MATH

Today the grade 3’s worked with arrays (pictures) to multiply. An array shows objects that are arranged in equal rows.  The grade 4’s worked on multiplying numbers to 9. We also discussed how to use the multiplication chart to help us. Were learned that the numbers we are multiplying are called factors and the answer is called the product.

2 x 3 = 6 (2 and 3 are the factors and 6 is the product)

LANGUAGE

Today we discussed how to compose a paragraph. We looked at the main idea and the topic sentence. We worked together to read paragraphs and then find the main idea and the topic sentences.

Tomorrow will be our last research day for Greece. After tomorrow we will be working on finalizing our project.

U.O.I

We continued talking about the benefits of being physically active. We reviewed the three types of activities that promote healthy growth and development for children: endurance, flexibility, and strength! We then split up onto groups of 2s and came up with a new game to play in gym!
