MATH

Today was our in class math test. I will mark the take home test and in class test as soon as possible and get them back to the students. Tomorrow we begin our journey in fractions and decimals.

LANGUAGE

Today we continued work on Mr. Popper’s Penguins. We read chapter 3 and then wrote our summary, answered comprehension questions, wrote our new vocabulary, and made new predictions.

U.O.I.
Today we looked more in depth at metamorphic rocks. We did an activity using pencil crayons, glue, and scissors. Each student had to colour limestone, shale, and sandstones. Then we had to show how each changes into something else. The limestone changes into marble, the shale changes into slate, and the sandstone changes into quartzite. We did this by crumpling up paper, folding up paper, and crushing paper.

Rock collection fun!

Have a wonderful night!
