MATH

Today was our introductory lesson into fractions and decimals. I had students complete worksheets to see where they were at. It was a successful first lesson. I hope to have the math tests marked and ready to go home for you to look at on Monday.

LANGUAGE

Today we continued work on Mr. Popper’s Penguins. We read chapter 4 and worked on our summaries, comprehension questions, vocabulary and made new predications.

U.O.I.
Today we played a rock game called Heads Down Rock Out. It involved using three different colours of paper to represent the three types of rock (metamorphic, sedimentary, and igneous). Every person got a ‘rock’ and then three students went up to the front. Once everyone’s heads were down the three at the front changed rocks with three other students. When I day ‘heads up, rock check’ everyone checks to see if their rock was changed…if it was they have to tell me the new rock and how it changed. Then they go to the front.

Our Art/Math unit tests!

Eghosa and Sia with an environmental club announcement!

Matthew singing O'Canada!

Congrats St. Judes for raising $1000. Mr. Monaghan made a beautiful ELSA!!
Lets see if we can get to $3000 to wax Mr. Palumbo's leg!!

On a side note, I will not be at school tomorrow. I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you on Monday!

Have a wonderful night!
