I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving weekend. Our family most definitely did! The weather was simply amazing!!
Just a reminder that winter uniforms are now in effect. Thank you to everyone for having their blazers. Just a reminder that they need the long sleeve button up shirt, sweater/sweater vest, tie (house colour tie on Friday’s), blazer, pant/skirt, navy blue socks/tights and black shoes.
IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:
SJA Parent Guild will be hosting a movie night on Friday, October 23 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Free child care will happen between 6:00-6:30 PM. The cost is $10 and includes water, popcorn, and a chocolate treat. Pizza will be sold at $2.00/slice. Feel free to bring a pillow and a blanket to get cozy!! There will be two movie choices, Shaun the Sheep and Tomorrow Land, both of which are rated PG. Forms will be sent home tomorrow and are due back with money by Friday, October 16.
After care money is due no later than Friday, October 16.
Math
Today was our shortened math period. Today we focused on adding 4 digit numbers.
Language
Today we wrote our OWA (Ontario Writing Assessment) post-assessment. We were to write a report on life without electricity. We took the time to review what a report should entail and we read some different examples. If students finished early they read a book independently.
U.O.I. (Unit of Inquiry)
We used this UOI period to do our lesson 5 spelling activities.
