Math
Today was our last lesson in unit 2. We looked at subtracting 4 digit numbers. Just a reminder that there will be a math test on Wednesday, October 21. The review was sent home Friday. I strongly encourage the students to use the review and their MMS books to study.

Language
Today we did a spelling review of lessons 1-4. It was a quiz and the students worked very hard on it. We also began looking at nouns, specifically common nouns.

U.O.I. (Unit of Inquiry)
Today we discussed how to be safe at home and how to be safe around water. Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, we will be working on our summative assessment for this unit. Students will be asked to create a brochure about safety. It should include colour, pictures, and information on bike safety, fire safety, water safety, house safety, street safety, etc. They will be able to find information on these topics in their UOI duo tang. I have posted some pictures of examples and a picture of the rubric!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday night!! GO JAYS GO!!
