Good afternoon,

I hope everyone enjoyed the night!

IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:

Pioneer Village permission form and money due tomorrow,  Friday, October 31. The trip will be taking place Friday, December 4!

Halloween casual day is Friday October 30. Students may come dressed in Halloween colours or in their costume – no scary/gory costumes, masks, or weapons will be allowed! Candy will be allowed but will not be eaten at school and must be peanut free. Students will be taking the candy home. No cupcakes or similar items please (see email from school re: birthdays). Pencils and erasers also make a nice treat and is something that is always needed!!

We had a great turn out for the bake sale. Thank you to those who came out to support it.

Please continue to check out the Parent Guilds blog for up coming events at sjaparentguild.blogspot.ca. Movie night pictures are now up!

Math
Today we explored quadrilaterals. A quadrilateral is a figure with four sides. Some examples of quadrilaterals are squares, rectangles, parallelograms, rhombuses, and trapezoids.

Language
Today we began our good copy of our mystery stories. We also had time to finish our math from this morning.

U.O.I. (Unit of Inquiry)
Today we completed a reading activity on ‘early pioneer homes.’ We read it aloud in class and they answered the questions. Then we continued to work on our mystery story.

I hope everyone has a wonderful evening!!
