Good afternoon,

I hope everyone enjoyed the night! Just a reminder in anticipation for tomorrow’s rain that all students and parents must take off their wet boots as they enter the school. This will help keep the carpets dry and clean!

IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:

Pioneer Village permission form and money due Friday, October 31. The trip will be taking place Friday, December 4!

Causal day is tomorrow, Wednesday October 28 and Halloween casual day is Friday October 30. Students may come dressed in Halloween colours or in their costume – no scary/gory costumes or weapons will be allowed!

Bake sale is this Wednesday and Thursday and is being put on by the MYP students. Items will be sold during first recess in the cafeteria. Items will range in price from $1.00 to $2.00!

Math

Today we began our first lesson in geometry. We looked at congruent figures. Congruent means that a figure is the same shape and size. Sometimes the shape may need to be turned or flipped.

Language

Today we continued work on our mystery stories. We also were able to do a period of Daily 5!

U.O.I. (Unit of Inquiry)

Today we completed a reading activity on ‘who are the early pioneers’ and answered some questions on the reading. The brochures were very well done. I am very happy with the results. Great job grade 4's!! I have sent them home for you to sign!
