Just a reminder
that winter uniforms are now in effect. Thank you to everyone for having their
blazers. Just a reminder that they need the long sleeve button up shirt,
sweater/sweater vest, tie (house colour tie on Friday’s), blazer, pant/skirt,
navy blue socks/tights and black shoes.

Unit 2 Math Test –
Wednesday, October 21 (review will
be sent home this weekend)
UOI Manners Unit
Summative (brochure) due Monday, October
26 (more information to come and there will be plenty of class time to work
on the brochure)
SJA Parent Guild
will be hosting a movie night on Friday, October 23 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Free
child care will happen between 6:00-6:30 PM. The cost is $10 and includes
water, popcorn, and a chocolate treat. Pizza will be sold at $2.00/slice. Feel
free to bring a pillow and a blanket to get cozy!! There will be two movie
choices, Shaun the Sheep and Tomorrow Land, both of which are rated PG. Forms will
be sent home tomorrow and are due back with money by Friday, October 16.
After care money
is due no later than Friday, October 16.
Math
Today we looked at
estimating differences. We looked at rounding to the nearest 100 and to the
nearest 10 to help us.
Language
Today was our
reading buddies day. It is so nice to see the relationship that is quickly
forming between the grade 4’s and his or her reading buddy. We also worked on
when to use direct quotations.
U.O.I. (Unit of Inquiry)
Today we learned
about bike safety. We drew and labeled a bike, learned about the signals we
used, and how to properly wear a helmet.
