Math
Today we looked at subtracting 3 digit numbers. We reviewed some examples on how to regroup. Just a reminder that there will be a math test on Wednesday, October 21. The review was sent home today. I strongly encourage the students to use the review and their MMS books to study.

Language
Today was our lesson 5 spelling test. We also did some Daily 5 activities.

U.O.I. (Unit of Inquiry)
Today we learned how to be prepared in case of an emergency. We discussed if anyone has an emergency kit and if so what does it contain. Beginning Tuesday, we will be working on our summative assessment for this unit. Students will be asked to create a brochure about safety. It should include colour, pictures, and information on bike safety, fire safety, water safety, house safety, street safety, etc. They will be able to find information on these topics in their UOI duo tang. I have posted some pictures of examples and a picture of the rubric!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
