Math
Today we began our
3rd unit in math, Geometry. This unit can be a challenge for many
students so extra support at home is greatly appreciated. We had our
pre-assessment today and will begin our introductory lesson on Monday.
Language
Today we finished
our math assessment from this morning and worked on our brochure.
U.O.I. (Unit of Inquiry)
Today we continued
working on our summative assessment for this unit. If the rough copy is any
evidence of how the good copies will turn out they will be fabulous! Students
are asked to create a brochure about safety. It should include colour,
pictures, and information on bike safety, fire safety, water safety, house
safety, and road safety, with a minimum of 5 bullets. Each bullet must be a
complete sentence and they have to write in cursive. They will be able to find
information on these topics in their UOI duo tang. I have posted some pictures
of examples and a picture of the rubric! We will be working on the brochures
the rest of the week and the final copy will be due on Monday, October 26.
